Credivera at ICAM 2024 - Transforming Global Healthcare Credentialing

May 2, 2024

Credivera was honoured to participate in the 2024 International Congress on Academic Medicine (ICAM). At the conference we showcased the transformation happening in global healthcare credentialing through the addition of digital identities and verifiable credentials.

ICAM is an annual international event put on by the Association of Faculties of Medicine of Canada (AFMC) that brings together a diverse and global community of medical educators, medical education scholars, health research education leaders and medical students. This gathering served as a vibrant forum for this medical community to exchange ideas, present innovative and ground-breaking research, and to build new partnerships.

Digital Transformation in Healthcare Academia: Credivera's Role

Credivera’s presence at ICAM underscores the importance of digital transformation in the healthcare sector, particularly in the realm of medical education and workforce credentialing. Fostering a safe and compliant healthcare environment, Credivera facilitates an efficient and secure exchange of credentials, which is essential for the medical community's commitment to innovation, excellence, and patient-centered care.

With Credivera, medical professionals can manage and share their credentials with ease, ensuring that their qualifications are instantly verifiable and up-to-date.

This is crucial in highly regulated industries like healthcare, where proof of workforce training, accreditation, and competence is paramount. Our solution streamlines the process of credential verification, reducing administrative burdens and enhancing compliance. Our solution is also designed to support the life-long learning journey of individuals in the healthcare field, enabling them to maintain a secure, portable, and tamper-proof record of their professional achievements.

Inspiring Innovation: The Opening Plenary and Events at ICAM

The conference kicked off with an inspiring opening plenary where international speakers explored global themes in academic medicine and related innovations. This plenary or “keynote” set the tone for many tracks and sessions that were designed to inspire and educate attendees through a variety of networking opportunities and discussions centered around innovative approaches and scholarly work.

One of the key events at ICAM was the “poster competition”, which provided medical students, residents, and graduate students with an opportunity to showcase their research and have it judged against their peers by expert judges. This not only allowed them to receive feedback but also recognition from their peers, which fostered an environment of learning and growth.  ICAM 2024 was particularly significant for educational and research advancements. It provided a crucial platform for participants including researchers and medical students to present their work, network with mentors, and connect with potential employers, playing a vital role in the development of their careers in academic medicine.

Shaping the Future of Healthcare Workforce Identity

ICAM 2024 was an experience that united a global, multi-disciplinary medical and medical research community driven by a shared commitment to advancing knowledge, improving healthcare delivery and most importantly the healthcare ecosystem. Attendees embraced the conference’s spirit of collaboration, excellence, and innovation.

ICAM 2024 set the stage for future advancements in the field, providing attendees with an unmatched experience of learning and networking while reflecting the dynamic and collaborative spirit of the international academic medicine community.
